Comprehensive Data Audit

Tue Apr 24, 2012 7:47 pm

Would it be possible to include the ability to audit database operations. E.g. If a record is modified, I would like to know what field changed, who changed it, the timestamp of the change, and the old and new values of the field. Of lower importance would be the ability to audit inserts and deletes. FYI, there is a hibernate module, Envers http://www.jboss.org/envers, that provides this functionality. Thanks.

Clay, thank you for your feature request. We will analyze possibilities to include data auditing into LSPS 3.0. As we discussed before, data auditing in LSPS 2.6 will be possible by implementing and pluging in your own custom Hibernate interceptor. For 3.0, we will try to find some more comfortable solution - with data auditing properties defined in the model.
